Disney, TikTok Unite for Creator-Focused Content Push
The Walt Disney Company and TikTok have struck a deal to allow creators on TikTok to use Disney characters in their videos. This partnership will give social media creators access to memorable scenes and moments from Disney movies and shows, which they can use to create content for both TikTok and Verts, the new Disney+ vertical video feed.
The agreement includes hundreds of films and series from across Disney's brands, including Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, FX, and more. The goal is to provide a shared Disney experience for fans on TikTok and to engage subscribers in timely fan conversations, building stronger communities and encouraging them to explore more story formats on Disney+.
Disney has stated that the new deal will launch in the US in the coming months, with other markets to follow. Creators who opt into the program will see their short-form content featured on both TikTok and Verts on Disney+. The partnership also includes a joint program called the Disney Creator Ambassador Program, which aims to enable best-in-class creators to unlock special rewards and provide them with increased visibility, access to exclusive events, and career development pathways.
