Disney Unveils Blockbuster Slate for 2028
Disney has announced its highly anticipated slate of films for 2028 at the D23 convention in Anaheim. The studio's executives have scheduled a number of high-profile releases, including Untitled Ghost Rider starring Ryan Gosling on July 28. Gosling will reteam with director Shawn Levy, who also helmed Star Wars: Starfighter in 2027.
The early summer slate includes Untitled X-Men on May 5, which marks Marvel's first attempt at reviving the iconic franchise since Dark Phoenix in 2019. The film stars Adam Driver and a young cast, including Sadie Sink and Inde Navarrette. Lilo & Stitch 2 opens on May 26, followed by Pixar's Incredibles 3 on June 16.
Other notable releases include Untitled Disney on February 11, Pixar's Ghost Market on March 10, and a live-action remake of Tangled on March 31. The latter marks the second adaptation of the 2010 animated hit Rapunzel. In late 2028, Clay starring Kieran Culkin is set to release on November 22, followed by Black Panther 3 on December 15.
