Disney Unveils D23 Lineup: Bluey Movie Teaser, Zootopia 3 Announcement, and More
At Disney's biennial fan convention D23, entertainment giant unveiled upcoming movies and streaming shows. The event featured star-studded presentations, including teasers for beloved children's show Bluey, Zootopia 3, and Coco 2. Frozen 3 and The Incredibles 3 were also announced, along with the Marvel reveals and Star Wars news.
A teaser for the upcoming feature film extension of Australian children's show Bluey was showcased. The brief trailer featured 3D-animated versions of Bluey and her sister Bingo playing keepy-uppy until the balloon hit the grass and they ran out of sight. The movie will be released in August 2027.
Zootopia 3, a surprise announcement, will feature birds as new additions to the franchise. Ginnifer Goodwin as Judy Hopps and Ke Huy Quan as Gary De' Snake are confirmed to return for the third Zootopia movie. Coco 2 was also announced, with main character Miguel now a teenager, still playing music and battling against former hero-turned-villain Ernesto de la Cruz.
