Disney Unveils Electric King Thanos for Avengers: Infinity Defense
Disney has revealed a fresh look at King Thanos for its upcoming theme park attraction Avengers: Infinity Defense. Set to debut in 2028, this new ride will feature a reimagined version of the Mad Titan, complete with an upgraded double-bladed sword and a massive crown inspired by Sauron's from The Lord of the Rings franchise.
The character design has undergone changes since its initial announcement, swapping out a medieval-style mace for the electrified sword. This new iteration draws heavily from Thanos' appearance in Avengers: Endgame, where he wielded the double-bladed sword without any electrical components.
Avgengers: Infinity Defense is set to become a major expansion for Disney California Adventure's Avengers' Campus section. The ride promises an immersive experience, with guests tasked with reassembling the Avengers to stop King Thanos from taking over the universe.
