Disney Unveils Fall 2026 Slate With Re-Release of 'Cars', Marvel Films, and More
The Disney slate for fall 2026 is packed with exciting releases, including a re-release of Cars to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The animated film, which has become one of Pixar's most enduring franchises, will hit theaters on September 4. Other notable releases include Oasis: Don't Look Back in Anger, a documentary about the rock band Oasis' reunion tour, and Marvel Studios' Avengers Endgame: Encore, which brings back the iconic superhero film to give audiences another chance to experience it.
Additionally, Disney has lined up several other films for release in the fall, including Portrait of an Artist: Stephen Curry, a documentary about NBA superstar Stephen Curry's milestone 4,000th three-pointer, and Whalefall, a thriller about a man who is swallowed by a sperm whale. Everest: The Other Side, a documentary about a group of elite ski mountaineers attempting to climb Mount Everest from the more daunting direct North Face route, will also be released in IMAX theaters on October 30.
Looking ahead to 2027, Disney has several other films planned for release, including Hexed and Avengers: Doomsday. Searchlight Pictures is also set to bring Tony Gilroy's next film, Behemoth!, starring Pedro Pascal and Olivia Wilde, to the big screen in December.
