Disney Unveils First Physical Simpsons Experience at D23
The Walt Disney Company's acquisition of major 21st Century Fox assets in March 2019, valued at roughly $71 billion, gave it control over numerous recognizable franchises and characters.
One family that didn't initially fit with Mickey Mouse was the Simpsons. After years of integrating these properties into its streaming library through Disney+, the company is now showcasing its ownership outside of streaming.
At D23, Disney created a brand-new experience featuring the Springfield family. The photo opportunity, while not an elaborate ride or themed land, marks a significant step in Disney's integration of Fox properties.
