Disney Unveils Future Slate at D23 Event, Including Incredibles 3 and Coco 2
The Disney Entertainment Showcase at D23's Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, California, on August 14 was packed with exclusive first looks and major announcements.
Hosted by Ginnifer Goodwin and Ke Huy Quan, the event featured star-studded appearances, surprise reveals, and special musical performances showcasing upcoming theatrical releases and Disney+ projects.
Disney CEO Josh D'Amaro welcomed the crowd of 12,000, thanking them for making Disney an important part of their lives. He emphasized that Disney makes 'the world is more hopeful, more magical than it ever can be.'
Anne Hathaway made a surprise appearance, confirming she's working on Princess Diaries 3, which will delight her fans.
Other announcements included Pixar's Incredibles 3, set for Summer 2028, and Coco 2 in November 2029. The latter film will feature Benjamin Bratt reprising his role as Ernesto de la Cruz, with a plot that picks up years after the original.
