Disney Unveils Immersive Monstropolis Land with Sushi Restaurant
Walt Disney World is creating an immersive experience for Monsters, Inc. fans with the new Monstropolis Land at Hollywood Studios.
The land will allow guests to explore the monster world and experience various attractions, including a suspended coaster where riders can race on a door just like the iconic scene from the movie.
One of the most anticipated features is Harryhausen's, a sushi restaurant that was highlighted in the movie. The restaurant will offer a unique dining experience with a menu 'unlike anything else' at Walt Disney World, according to Michael Hundgen, Vice President Creative.
The chef at Harryhausen's will be an Audio-Animatronic, similar to those seen in other Disney restaurants. The final stages of programming for the chef were showcased during the D23 Disney Experiences showcase, giving guests a glimpse into what they can expect from their meal.
