Disney Unveils Interactive Ewok Coming to Disneyland in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

An interactive Ewok is coming to Disneyland's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in August 2026, marking the first of three characters in Disney's new Batuu Adventure Buddies collection.

The Ewok will be available for purchase at Droid Depot and features expressive eyes, motorized facial movements, and a range of sounds, including giggles and Ewokese chatter. It can interact with other droids at the depot and respond to different reactions triggered by tapping its head or belly.

The interactive Ewok has two special animations that can be activated: Endor Dance Party, which features rhythmic eye movements and drumming sounds, and Forest Call Chain, which allows nearby Batuu Adventure Buddies to respond in their own languages. The Ewok can also be customized with three optional gear packs for an additional cost.

The Batuu Adventure Buddies collection will eventually expand to Disney's Hollywood Studios, but the exact date is not specified. Disney says the experience starts inside Droid Depot, where a Cast Member helps guests choose their companion and accessories before activating the Ewok and sending it off with its new owner.
