Disney Unveils Marvel-Themed Lands for Shanghai and Hong Kong
Disney has unveiled new details about its upcoming Marvel-themed lands in Shanghai and Hong Kong. The Shanghai Disneyland park will feature a new Spider-Man land, which will be its ninth themed area since opening in June 2016. This expansion includes a new coaster and Spider-Bots.
The ride track installation for the new coaster was completed in June, with the first ride vehicles expected to be placed on the track soon, followed by testing. Meanwhile, at Hong Kong Disneyland, a new Stark Expo area is being developed, which will include an Avengers pavilion described as a striking landmark home to the Avengers Research Testing Labs.
Disney revealed that this pavilion will offer a 'tower experience unlike any story you've seen before', suggesting a drop tower similar to Guardians of the Galaxy, Mission: Breakout. This new area is part of an extended zone in Tomorrowland.
