Disney Unveils Multi-Billion Dollar Theme Park Overhaul
Disney recently made several major announcements at D23: the Ultimate Disney Fan Event. The company revealed updates for various theme parks, including Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. One of the most significant changes is the revamped Carousel of Progress, which will feature new scenes and a Walt Disney animatronic.
The park will also see the introduction of Piston Peak National Park, an area inspired by Pixar's Cars, with two rides: Miss Fritter's Daredevil Spin-Along and Cars Ridge Run Rally. Additionally, Magic Kingdom is expanding with Villains Land, which will include a Maleficent roller coaster and an Evil Queen dark ride.
EPCOT's Spaceship Earth attraction is getting an upgrade, while Journey Into Imagination with Figment is receiving a new version that reunites Figment with Dreamfinder. Other updates include the return of beloved shows to Disneyland Resort and the expansion of Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure.
