Disney Unveils New Attractions at Avengers Campus and Walt Disney World
The Walt Disney Company has unveiled its latest expansion plans at D23's Saturday Parks Panel. The company is set to open two new attractions at Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure, including Stark Flight Lab and Avengers Infinity Defense.
Avengers Infinity Defense will put park visitors in the fight against Thanos, with guests receiving special mission orders from Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani) and teaming up with returning Avengers cast members. The ride is set to open in 2028 along with Stark Flight Lab, which will feature training trips led by Robert Downey Jr., Anthony Mackie, and Brie Larson.
In other news, Disney's Walt Disney World resort is breaking ground on its latest attraction, Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent. The ride will feature Harrison Ford as an animatronic model, marking his first time being involved in a ride mechanic. Tokyo Disney, Disneyland Paris, and Disneyland have already established Indiana Jones attractions, but this will be Walt Disney World's first.
Villains Land is also on the horizon for Walt Disney World, featuring a high-thriller roller coaster experience based on Maleficent's thorny briar mountain top. The attraction will contain 'elements never attempted before on a Disney theme park attraction.'
