Disney Unveils New Cars-Themed Area with Off-Road Ride

A new Cars-themed area is coming to Magic Kingdom's Frontierland in Walt Disney World. The area, called Piston Peak National Park, will feature two new attractions, one of which is a ride called Cars Ridge Run Rally.

The ride, designed by Disney Imagineers, takes riders through the rugged beauty of America's national parks, including a climb up Piston Peak itself. The course includes a camelback descent and an exhilarating geyser field before circling the Old Tankfull geyser and ending with a sprint to the finish line.

The ride vehicles are designed to look like off-road cars and will feature lovable faces up front. Each vehicle will have its own personality, name, and number. The queue for the attraction will be housed in the visitor lodge area of Piston Peak National Park, which will be constructed to look like an A-frame mountain lodge.
