Disney Unveils New Video Touring Park Expansion Projects
Disney has unveiled a new video showcasing several ongoing park expansion projects in its theme parks. The video provides a closer look at construction sites for new lands and attractions, including Piston Peak in Magic Kingdom's Frontierland, Villains Land, Monstropolis in Hollywood Studios, and Pueblo Esperanza in Animal Kingdom.
The video starts with a first look at construction on Piston Peak, which is based on the Disney-Pixar film Cars. Imagineers can be seen floating gigantic balloons above the site to check sightlines and ensure the new structure fits with the rest of Magic Kingdom.
Disney also discussed its process for 'monsterfying' Monstropolis, adding details such as teeth to windows to bring the city to life. The video also shows a sample yard for Pueblo Esperanza, where structures are being tested and refined before construction begins.
