Disney Unveils Piston Peak Expansion Coming to Magic Kingdom

Disney's Magic Kingdom is getting a new expansion based on the Cars franchise. The new land, called Piston Peak, will be themed to resemble Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado and will feature two new attractions.

The first attraction will be a rally race-themed ride that takes guests on a thrilling journey through Piston Peak, while the second attraction is more family-friendly. The area will also include restaurants, shops, and other themed elements.

A model of the land was displayed at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, giving attendees a sneak peek at what's to come. While no official opening date has been announced, construction on the expansion is already underway in Magic Kingdom.
