Disney Unveils Plans for New Attractions at Walt Disney World Parks

Disney fans got a glimpse into the future of its Walt Disney World parks at the D23 fan event, where new attractions and updates were announced. Magic Kingdom will receive a 'Villains Land' and a 'Cars'-themed area, along with updates to the Carousel of Progress.

The beloved 'Carousel of Progress' is undergoing a refurbishment to introduce four new decades and a new scene with the first-ever Florida-based Walt Disney Audio-Animatronics figure in late spring 2027. The attraction's matriarch and patriarch will be voiced by Jamie Lee Curtis and Bryan Cranston.

Additionally, two new attractions are coming to Piston Peak, the 'Cars' themed area: 'Miss Fritter's Daredevil Spin-Along' and 'Cars Ridge Run Rally'. Villains Land will feature a Maleficent-inspired coaster experience and a dark ride hosted by the Magic Mirror.
