Disney Unveils Revamped Rides, Attractions, and New Areas for Its Parks

Disney recently unveiled a range of updates and new attractions at its D23 fan convention. Among the announcements was a revamp of EPCOT's 'Journey Into Imagination' ride, which will bring back Dreamfinder and his purple dragon companion Figment.

The 'Spaceship Earth' attraction in EPCOT is also set to undergo a transformation with a new theme centered on innovation through human connection. No completion dates have been announced for these projects.

Magic Kingdom will feature two new rides: a rollercoaster inspired by Maleficent and a journey through the Evil Queen's catacombs, led by her magic mirror. The 'Carousel of Progress' attraction in Magic Kingdom is also being updated to span from the 1960s to the present day.

At Animal Kingdom, Disney plans to repair the Yeti animatronic on the Expedition Everest ride and debut a new 'Encanto' ride titled 'Antonio's Festival de Encanto.' The park will also introduce its first-ever 'Tropical Americas' land with a ride themed around Harrison Ford's character from Indiana Jones.

Disney's Hollywood Studios is set to welcome a new area dedicated to Monsters, Inc., featuring a stage show and the iconic restaurant from the movie. A suspended coaster that lifts riders 40 feet into the air will also be part of this area at a later date.
