Disney Unveils Thrilling Rides for New 'Cars' Land at Walt Disney World
Disney has unveiled the details of its highly anticipated 'Cars' themed land at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom Park in Orlando, Florida. The expansion, known as Piston Peak National Park, is set to be the largest in the park's history and will feature two thrilling rides: Ridge Run Rally and Miss Fritter's Daredevil Spinoff.
Ridge Run Rally will be the centerpiece of the land, offering a unique racing experience where each car competes for the fastest lap in the wilderness. The ride will take guests on a thrilling climb up a mountain, followed by a bouncy descent through camelback humps and a swerve through a geyser field.
Miss Fritter's Daredevil Spinoff, on the other hand, is designed for younger kids and features an animatronic school bus of the lovable character Miss Fritter. The ride will be similar to Mater's Junkyard Jamboree or Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters at Disney California Adventure.
The creation of Piston Peak National Park has been met with controversy, as it requires filling in the classic Rivers of America attraction. The park closed permanently in July 2025 to make way for the expansion.
