Disney Unveils Two High-Octane Attractions for Magic Kingdom's Piston Peak
The Walt Disney Company has announced two new attractions coming to Magic Kingdom's Frontierland: Miss Fritter's Daredevil Spin-Along and Cars Ridge Run Rally. Inspired by the 'Diva of Demolition' from Cars 3, Miss Fritter's ride will feature a huge animatronic hostess who hosts a demolition derby.
Cars Ridge Run Rally is a racing attraction that takes riders through the rugged beauty of America's national parks, including a climb up Piston Peak itself. The course features an icy, snow-covered mountaintop, a camelback descent, and an exhilarating geyser field.
Imagineers are using 'Parkitecture,' a style of architecture developed by the National Park Service to create structures that harmonize with the natural environment. The Piston Peak area will be designed to resemble the Rocky Mountain region and will include visitor lodges, Ranger HQs, trails, and other features within the Disney and Pixar Cars universe.
