Disney World Construction Chaos: Years of Closures Ahead

Disney World is in the midst of significant construction and refurbishment efforts, with multiple projects expected to take years to complete.

The Carousel of Progress at Magic Kingdom will remain closed until 2027, while the Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island are permanently closed to make way for the new Cars area, Piston Peak National Park.

In Disney's Hollywood Studios, Vacation Fun is closing again on August 9th, with no reopening date announced. The Animation Courtyard will also be partially closed until September 14th, when the rest of Walt Disney Studios opens.

At EPCOT, La Signature and Sections of Germany Pavilion are currently closed for refurbishment. Meanwhile, DinoLand, USA at Animal Kingdom is being redeveloped into Tropical Americas land, Pueblo Esperanza.
