Disney World Ending Hotel Perks and Character Experiences Amid Summer's End

Walt Disney World is ending some of its hotel perks and character experiences next week. The end of Cool KIDS' SUMMER, which kicked off on May 26 and runs through September 8, marks the final day for several offerings. Three Disney World character experiences - Jessie's Roundup: A Rip-Roarin' Revue! at Magic Kingdom and GoofyCore inside CommuniCore Hall at EPCOT - will be discontinued.

Outside the parks, scheduled character meet-and-greets at four designated Cool KIDS' SUMMER hotels will also end. Characters have been visiting hotel lobbies as part of this perk, traveling in a colorful vehicle called the Character Caravan. However, it's anticipated that the Character Caravan will still make surprise stops at the 20+ Disney hotels.

The free admission to Disney's water parks for resort guests on their check-in day is also ending next week. This benefit was only available during Cool KIDS' SUMMER and not throughout the year as in previous years. Starting September 9, guests visiting a water park on check-in day will need to pay full-price admission.
