Disney World Extends Evening Hours for Deluxe Hotel Guests
Walt Disney World hotel guests staying at deluxe resorts will see changes to Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, a perk that allows them extra time in one of the four parks after hours. The setup for this benefit has undergone some modifications following recent patterns.
Guests at deluxe resorts can attend Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, which is a two-hour period of extra time in one of the Disney World parks after it closes to everyone else. This perk does not require a separate ticket beyond regular theme park admission and is different from the extra-charge Disney After Hours parties.
The schedule for Extended Evening Theme Park Hours is shifting due to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom, which takes place on multiple late nights every week. For most of 2026 so far, Monday's slot has been allocated to EPCOT and Wednesday's slot to Magic Kingdom.
Starting September 9, Magic Kingdom will no longer be part of the calendar for Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, with Disney's Hollywood Studios replacing it five Wednesdays in a row before Disney's Animal Kingdom returns on October 20. The latter date is an anomaly, as the Extended Evening Theme Park Hours night will take place on a Tuesday instead of Wednesday.
