Disney World Files Six New Permits Amid Ongoing Construction

Disney World has been abuzz with construction activity this year, and it seems like new permits are popping up regularly. According to a recent update from Disney Food Blog, six new permits have been filed across various parks and resorts.

The first permit is for the Skyliner Station at Hollywood Studios, which will undergo some construction work. The permit was filed on August 28th with an expiration date of one year from the filing date. When the Skyliner is closed for its annual refurbishment in January 2027, complimentary bus service will be offered.

Another permit has been filed for Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom, which recently underwent a brand-new exterior look. The permit lists 'general construction' as the purpose and expires on August 28th, 2027. It's unclear what work is being done, but it could be final touch-ups or something more substantial.

The Disney Food Blog also mentions permits for Disney's Boardwalk Inn, which lists 'general refurbishment' as the description. This could be connected to upcoming projects on the horizon, including a new lounge, stores, and more. Additionally, permits have been filed for construction at Kilimanjaro Safaris in Animal Kingdom and Peco's Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe in Magic Kingdom.

Lastly, a permit has been filed to 'install signage' for the Main Street Car Barn. We don't have any details on this project, but we'll keep an eye out for updates.
