Disney World Introduces In-Person Virtual Queue for New Drawing Experience
Walt Disney World Resort has introduced an in-person virtual queue for its new drawing experience, Olaf Draws!, which opens on September 14 at Disney's Hollywood Studios. This change may cause some chaos for families visiting the park that morning.
The Olaf Draws! experience is a step-by-step drawing class hosted by a new Olaf Audio-Animatronics figure with recorded instruction from Walt Disney Animation Studios artists. Due to its limited capacity, guests who want to participate must physically reach the attraction and join the virtual queue in person, rather than through the My Disney Experience app.
This means that guests may need to prioritize one destination immediately after the park opens, potentially creating a localized rope-drop rush towards The Magic of Disney Animation. The operational details for the virtual queue have not been officially confirmed by Disney, and it is unclear when signups will begin or how the process will work after initial capacity is claimed.
Despite this change, the new experience has the potential to bring guests back to the reworked Walt Disney Studios area, which features a mix of attractions and entertainment options. The Magic of Disney Animation combines four principal experiences, including Off the Page! character encounters, Drawn to Wonderland play areas, and the Once Upon a Studio Theater.
