Disney World Keeps Spontaneous Character Encounters Alive

Walt Disney World has announced that its 'vintage Disney' experience at Hollywood Studios will continue, despite concerns that it would disappear after The Magic of Disney Animation opened on September 14.

The Walt Disney Studios Lot courtyard has been home to roaming Disney characters since May, allowing guests to interact with Rapunzel, Mulan, and Donald Duck in unexpected ways.

However, with the opening of The Magic of Disney Animation, it was feared that these spontaneous encounters would be replaced by traditional meet-and-greets indoors.

But Disney has confirmed that roaming characters will remain in the courtyard after the new attraction opens, with a new rotation of characters to replace the current lineup.
