Disney World Limits Park Hours Amid Fall Festivities
This fall, Walt Disney World is imposing operating hour restrictions on 75% of its parks. The changes come as the resort prepares for a festive autumn environment with Halloween decorations and special events.
Among the affected parks are Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Magic Kingdom. Hollywood Studios will see an early closing at 5 p.m. on October 20 due to a private event connected to the Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo 2026. The park's regular guests will not be able to remain in the park for the evening.
EPCOT is experiencing its own changes, opening later on two specific mornings: October 23 and October 25. On these dates, the park will open to regular guests at 10 a.m., rather than 9 a.m., with Early Theme Park Entry delayed to 9:30 a.m.
Magic Kingdom has the most frequent schedule shifts, with regular guests required to leave at 6 p.m. on 16 different October dates for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party to begin at 7 p.m.
