Disney World Police Log 469 Incidents in July, Including Scary Weapon Discharge

A new report from WDW Active Crime highlights police activity at Walt Disney World in July 2026, where the Orange County Sheriff's Office logged 469 calls for service connected to the resort.

The report covers a wide range of incidents, including traffic crashes, trespassing complaints, medical emergencies, and criminal investigations. Vehicle crashes were the most common reason deputies responded, accounting for 59 calls during July.

Battery-related calls also remained common, with 22 battery calls that were gone on arrival, another 18 battery incidents, and two aggravated battery cases. Beyond routine calls, several serious incidents stand out, including a weapon discharge call at Flamingo Crossings Village, the housing community used by many Walt Disney World Cast Members.

The incident occurred on July 14 and remains unclear whether anyone was injured or if criminal charges resulted. The report serves as another reminder that operating a destination like Walt Disney World requires constant coordination between Disney security, emergency responders, and local law enforcement to keep guests and surrounding communities safe.
