Disney World Railroad Closes for Refurbishment, Affecting Magic Kingdom Visitors
Walt Disney World's transportation network is undergoing changes that will affect guests visiting Magic Kingdom during the fall season. The Walt Disney World Railroad, a popular attraction and mode of transportation within the park, will close for refurbishment on September 28 and remain unavailable until October 30.
This closure comes at an inconvenient time, as it coincides with Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and regular daytime visits to Magic Kingdom. The railroad offers guests a place to sit and relax while continuing to experience the park, making its absence particularly noticeable during long park days.
The refurbishment is part of Disney's ongoing efforts to transform Frontierland into Piston Peak National Park. While the transformation brings new attractions and experiences, it also requires temporary closures of existing ones, including the railroad.
