Disney World Swan and Dolphin Unveils Record-Breaking Meeting Space Expansion
The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida has expanded its meeting space by over 100,000 square feet. The new Peninsula Ballroom is a two-story venue connected to the Dolphin hotel and marks the first major expansion of the meeting space since 2003.
The addition brings the total indoor and outdoor event footprint of the resort to 600,000 square feet across three hotels: Swan, Dolphin, and Swan Reserve. With this expansion, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin is now the largest convention hotel on the East Coast, boasting 99 meeting rooms and over 110,000 square feet of contiguous convention and exhibit space.
The Peninsula Ballroom offers various layout configurations for events, accommodating up to 7,200 attendees. The first floor features multipurpose meeting space and prefunction areas, while the second level boasts a 40,000-square-foot ballroom with additional prefunction space. The venue also includes an outdoor patio and large-format digital displays.
The expansion is part of a $300 million, multiphase project that also includes upgrades to existing meeting spaces and guest-room renovations at the Swan hotel.
