Leslie Iwerks' new documentary, Disney Worldbuilders, explores how today's storytellers work alongside Disney Experiences to transform beloved films into immersive lands and attractions. The film delves into the creative relationship between filmmakers and Imagineers, where ideas are born on screen and brought to life in real-world theme parks.

Iwerks' interest in this process began years ago when she wondered what it would be like for a creator to see their idea evolve beyond the movie theater. She wanted to capture the emotional connection between filmmakers, Imagineers, and guests who experience these immersive worlds.

The documentary features interviews with acclaimed filmmakers, including Pete Docter, Jennifer Lee, James Cameron, and Jared Bush, among others. Iwerks discovered that each of them carried childhood memories of Disney Parks that continued to shape their creative lives.
