Disney World's Early Halloween Bash Brings in Big Bucks
Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom at Disney World kicked off its Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on Friday night, marking an early start to the seasonal event. The party runs on select nights between now and October 31st, with tickets priced up to $229 for access from 7 p.m. through midnight.
The first five nights of the event have already sold out, along with five later dates, including Halloween itself. Disney's decision to start the party early may be a strategic move to optimize guest experience during the hot Florida summer months.
Rival Comcast is also gearing up for its Halloween Horror Nights event at Universal Orlando Resort, which starts on the final weekend of this month. The seasonal hard-ticket events are big moneymakers for these year-round gated attractions.
