Disney World's FriendShip Boat Dock Closure Extended
The Disney World resort's popular FriendShip Boat dock has been closed for maintenance since August 18th, but its reopening was supposed to happen today. Unfortunately, visitors who headed over to the Yacht and Beach Club resorts expecting a boat ride were met with disappointment as they found the dock still under construction.
Cast members informed guests that the construction workers discovered more damage than anticipated during their maintenance work, which has extended the closure for at least another week. The Disney World website claims the dock is open as scheduled without any confirmed adjusted reopening date.
Despite this inconvenience, visitors can still access EPCOT and Hollywood Studios using provided transportation methods, including walking, buses, or the Disney Skyliner. This alternative solution has been made available to minimize disruptions for guests.
