Disney World's Halloween Party Changes Wait Times and Park Hours
The Halloween season has arrived at Walt Disney World Resort, and it's bringing changes to wait times and park hours. The separately ticketed event, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, takes place on select nights through October 31, running from 7 p.m. to midnight. Party-ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom beginning at 4 p.m., but regular day guests are subject to early closures at 6 p.m.
According to the Disney official calendar, party dates have Magic Kingdom closing to non-party guests at 6 p.m., reshaping a normal Magic Kingdom day and removing the standard evening window for guests without event admission. Day guests may choose to avoid party dates due to the shortened hours, while those attending the event can begin entering the park earlier.
Inside the Magic notes that 'fall equals low crowds' is an unreliable shortcut, as the next several weeks can produce different Magic Kingdom experiences depending on whether guests visit on a party date or not. The publication has tracked lower Lightning Lane pricing on select 2026 Halloween party dates, including reduced Premier Pass pricing when Magic Kingdom operates with shorter hours for regular guests.
The scheduling changes alone can alter guest behavior, as the Disney's Halloween party includes exclusive entertainment such as Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade and Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular. Demand is real, with multiple 2026 party sellouts reported before the season began, including Halloween night.
