Disney World's Labor Day Crowds Surprise with Manageable Wait Times
Walt Disney World experienced surprisingly manageable crowds during Labor Day weekend in 2026. The holiday typically draws large numbers of visitors, but this year's attendance was below average.
The resort-wide average attraction wait time peaked at around 33 minutes at 8:20 a.m., higher than the typical 22-minute morning average. However, waits declined throughout the day instead of building up towards the afternoon, making it an unusual Labor Day weekend for Disney World.
Magic Kingdom had the lowest average wait times among the four theme parks, with just 15 minutes at 1:00 p.m. This is particularly notable given its reputation as one of the busiest theme parks on a federal holiday. Disney's Hollywood Studios had the highest average wait time among the four parks at around 34 minutes.
Test Track and Slinky Dog Dash were two of the most popular attractions, with estimated standby waits of over 90 minutes. However, these long lines were not representative of the entire resort, which saw average wait times fall from 30 minutes to 26 minutes by 2:00 p.m.
