Disney World's Magic Kingdom Gets Ready for Halloween, Then Christmas
Walt Disney World has announced several changes to Magic Kingdom for October 2026, which could impact guest experiences and crowd levels.
The Diamond Horseshoe in Frontierland will become a limited-time pop-up experience on October 4, offering a new menu with items like glazed sticky ribs and specialty drinks. Reservations for the pop-up open September 29.
However, the biggest change this month is the frequent early closures of Magic Kingdom due to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party events. There are 16 party dates scheduled in October alone, with regular guests required to leave by 6 p.m. unless they have separate admission to the Halloween party.
The park will also quickly transition from Halloween decorations to Christmas elements after the final Halloween party on October 31.
