Disney World's Magic Kingdom Traffic Gets Major Overhaul With New Roundabouts
A new roadway called Floridian Way is now open at Walt Disney World as part of an ongoing project to improve traffic flow around Magic Kingdom. The road connects the parking lot to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, with temporary connector roads allowing guests to access other areas of the resort.
Two roundabouts are already complete, located outside the Grand Floridian, while a third will be constructed near the Magic Kingdom parking lot. Eventually, the Grand Floridian entrance will connect directly to one of these permanent roundabouts.
This is Phase III of the World Drive North project, which is expected to be completed in late 2027. A recent change has closed the intersection connecting Seven Seas Drive and Floridian Way permanently, forcing drivers to use World Drive North to access Polynesian Village Resort.
