Disney World's New President Joe Schott Returns Home to Orlando
Joe Schott is taking over as President of Walt Disney World Resort on August 6, succeeding Jeff Vahle who stepped down after 36 years with Disney.
Schott, who has a nearly 45-year career with the company, started out as a part-time Jungle Cruise Skipper at Walt Disney World and rose through senior roles across Disney's international destinations. In his message to Cast Members, he said 'Returning feels a lot like coming home.'
His priorities will be supporting Cast Members, delivering exceptional Guest experiences, and building on the resort's strong foundation.
