Disney World's Tiered-Access Model Takes Center Stage at Hollywood Studios
Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios has several major updates planned for September. The park will be divided between a new opening and after-dark access programs that are not available to all daytime ticket holders.
The Magic of Disney Animation is set to open on September 14, bringing a new collection of experiences to the reimagined Walt Disney Studios area. This includes 'Drawn to Wonderland', 'Off the Page!', 'Olaf Draws!', and a Once Upon A Studio Theater, alongside interactive and character-focused spaces.
However, not all attractions will be available to regular ticket holders. The park will host its final two Disney After Hours events of 2026 on September 2 and September 12, which require a separate event ticket. These limited-capacity late-night events offer lower waits for select attractions, character appearances, and included snacks.
Additionally, Hollywood Studios Extended Evening Hours are scheduled for September 16, 23, and 30 from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Eligible hotel guests can take advantage of this benefit, but regular ticket holders may not have access to these extended hours.
