Disney World's Twilight Zone Tower of Terror Shrouded in Scaffolding During Refurb
Walt Disney World's Twilight Zone Tower of Terror has been shrouded in scaffolding as part of an ongoing refurbishment project. The attraction, located at Disney's Hollywood Studios, was first covered up in May when its queue area underwent renovations.
The latest update shows the scaffolding extending across the front of the building, with paintwork underway to restore the facade of the 'Hollywood Tower Hotel'. While this may be an eyesore for guests approaching the attraction, it's reassuring that the interior ride mechanisms remain unaffected and no refurbishment closures have been announced.
The scaffolding has been creeping up the right side of the building since July, with recent additions bringing it past the drop shaft. The ongoing maintenance work appears to be limited to the exterior, allowing guests to continue enjoying the thrill ride as usual.
