Disney Yacht Club FriendShip Boat Dock Still Closed After Initial Refurbishment Deadline

The FriendShip Boat Dock at Disney's Yacht Club Resort remains closed due to ongoing refurbishment. Initially scheduled for closure from August 17-21, 2026, the dock has yet to reopen despite some progress being made.

New wood boards have been installed in certain sections of the dock, but the work is not complete. The new boards stand out against the faded brown ones still in place, and a white sign notes that boat service is temporarily unavailable.

Guests can still access EPCOT International Gateway via a pathway or take direct bus service to Disney's Hollywood Studios as an alternative. Temporary green fences have been erected to prevent guests from accessing the boat dock while work continues.
