Disneyland Brings Magic of Main Street to Anaheim Residents
Disneyland hosted a free community event in Anaheim to bring the magic of Main Street, U.S.A. to residents' doorsteps. The 'Happiest Day in Anaheim' celebration, part of Disneyland's community outreach efforts, drew over 3,000 attendees on Thursday evening.
The event, called 'Main Street on Your Street,' transformed an Anaheim park into a mini Main Street, complete with performances by the Pearly Band and Mary Poppins, themed photo ops, and complimentary treats like cotton candy, hot dogs, ice cream, and popcorn. The Fab 5, including Mickey and Minnie Mouse, were also on hand to entertain.
Ketdy Maldonado, a former Disneyland passholder who hasn't visited since giving birth to her one-year-old daughter, was thrilled to reconnect with Disney magic at the event. Eric Benitez, Disney's corporate social responsibility manager, said the company aimed to thank Anaheim residents for their support throughout its history.
