Disneyland Brings Magic to Anaheim Community in 'The Happiest Day'
Disneyland Resort recently brought its magic to the Anaheim community through a citywide celebration called 'The Happiest Day in Anaheim.' The event was part of the resort's ongoing relationship with its hometown and aimed to bring Disney experiences directly to local children, families, and senior citizens.
The celebration began on August 27, but preparations started earlier that month. Disney VoluntEARS traveled throughout Anaheim, making surprise appearances at community centers and local events. Over 2,000 residents received Disney-themed treats and gifts during this time, including bubble wands, Mickey Mouse plush toys, and Minnie Mouse ears.
The main event took place at Center Greens Park, where 'Main Street on Your Street' was held. This community celebration transformed the park into an experience filled with entertainment, food, games, crafts, and character appearances. Over 3,000 Anaheim residents attended the event, which featured familiar elements of Main Street, U.S.A., such as Disney VoluntEARS, Mary Poppins, and the Disneyland Resort Fire Engine.
