Disneyland Cavalcade Celebrates Legacy with Star-Studded Lineup
The Disneyland Resort will host a special Disney Legends Cavalcade on August 13th as part of the D23 fan event. The cavalcade will feature select Disney Legends riding aboard Main Street USA vehicles, accompanied by characters and the Disneyland Band.
The event is set to take place at 1:30 p.m. ahead of the three-day fan convention at the Anaheim Convention Center. The Disney Legends Cavalcade will give fans a chance to see some of their favorite artists, actors, and musicians come together in celebration of Disney's rich legacy.
The lineup for the cavalcade has not been officially announced, but the D23 event will feature eight Disney Legends, including Jodi Benson (voice of Ariel), Bill Farmer (voice of Goofy), Don Hahn (producer on 'Beauty and the Beast'), Mark Henn (animator of Mickey Mouse), Alan Menken (song composer for 'Aladdin'), Paige O'Hara (singing voice of Belle in 'Beauty and the Beast'), Robin Roberts (co-anchor of 'Good Morning America'), and Joe Rohde (Walt Disney Imagineering portfolio creative executive).
The D23 fan convention will also include an awards ceremony on Sunday, August 16th at the Honda Center, where 11 new Disney Legends will be inducted.
