Disneyland Dinosaur Attraction Returns After Two-Month Refurbishment
The Disneyland Railroad has reopened its Primeval World scene, featuring restored dinosaur figures and new lighting after a two-month refurbishment.
The scene, which dates back to Walt Disney's era at Disneyland, showcases a confrontation between a Tyrannosaurus rex and Stegosaurus. It had been closed for over two months during the renovation.
The Primeval World segment of the Disneyland Railroad has a history that spans nearly six decades, originating from Ford's Magic Skyway in 1964 New York World's Fair. The scene has preserved its prehistoric Audio-Animatronics figures created during Walt Disney Imagineering's early years.
Disney's dinosaur footprint is changing elsewhere, as the DINOSAUR ride at Disney's Animal Kingdom closed permanently on February 1 this year to make way for a new Indiana Jones attraction. However, Primeval World now carries the legacy of Disney's stateside dinosaur-attraction experience.
