Disneyland Ride Closures Announced for September

Three Disneyland attractions are set to close for refurbishment in the coming months. The Mark Twain Riverboat will be closed from September 8-12, as part of a larger renovation project for the Rivers of America area.

Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island will shut down starting September 14, with no reopening date announced. This closure includes the entire island and the short raft ride that accesses it.

The Mad Tea Party spinning teacups ride, which has been a park staple since 1955, will also be closed for refurbishment beginning September 14. Disney has not shared details on what maintenance work will be done or when the ride is expected to reopen.
