Disney's Animal Kingdom Celebrates 24 Years with New Attractions and Expansions
Disney's Animal Kingdom is a 500-acre theme park located in Walt Disney World. The park was opened on April 22, 1998, and has since become one of the most popular destinations at Disney World.
The park is divided into several areas, including Pandora - World of Avatar, Africa, Asia, and DinoLand U.S.A. One of the main attractions in Pandora is Avatar Flight of Passage, a ride where guests can experience the sensation of flying on a banshee. The ride features stunning visuals and attention to detail, making it one of the most popular rides at the park.
In addition to its rides and attractions, Animal Kingdom also offers a variety of dining options, including character dining at Tusker House in Africa, where guests can meet Donald and his friends while enjoying a buffet meal. There are also several quick service restaurants throughout the park, including Satu'li Canteen in Pandora, which serves a make-your-own bowl option with a variety of proteins and sauces.
The park is also home to several special tours, including the Wild Africa Trek, which takes guests behind the scenes for an up-close look at African animals. The tour includes a visit to a private area where guests can see elephants up close.
