Disney's Animal Kingdom Unveils Vibrant Tropical Americas Land Coming 2027
The Disney Animal Kingdom is undergoing a massive transformation with the development of Tropical Americas, an 11-acre land set to open in 2027. The new area will transport visitors into the heart of Pueblo Esperanza, a fictional village inspired by the cultures and environments of Mexico, Central America, and South America.
The construction site is rapidly taking shape with the emergence of iconic structural foundations, grand entrances, and brand-new attraction queues. A large steel entryway gate has been erected, giving guests a glimpse of how this structure will serve as an immersive threshold into Pueblo Esperanza.
The carousel, a passion project of a local woodcarver, is also making significant progress. The intricate attraction will feature handcrafted-style renditions of favorite Disney animals and will be surrounded by covered areas to provide shaded entrances and exits for guests.
