Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress is undergoing a major reimagining, and new concept art has been revealed. The classic ride will shift its setting to the latter half of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century.

The attraction currently shows the story in three different time periods: the 1960s, 1970s, and a possible future that was depicted in the original show's final scene. However, for this reimagining, the team has decided to move forward with the latter two scenes and add a new fourth act.

The concept art displays John and his family living in the 21st century, complete with modern technology such as laptops and smartphones. Sarah is shown wearing futuristic clothing, while her father John sports a yellow sweater and khaki pants alongside their dog Rover.

When the ride reopens, visitors will see a model of the future during Act 4. The concept art also shows how the original show scene of the possible future has been revamped to fit the new timeline.
