Disney's Cars Land Set to Rev Up Magic Kingdom with Thrilling Rides
The Walt Disney Company has unveiled more details about its highly anticipated Cars-themed land, Piston Peak National Park, set to open at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida. The expansion, which will be the largest in the park's history, was first announced in 2024 and has sparked controversy due to the closure of classic attractions Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island.
The centerpiece of the land will be a racing ride called Ridge Run Rally, where riders will compete for the fastest lap in the wilderness. The ride will feature a thrilling climb up a mountain, followed by a series of camelback humps and a geyser field, including past Old Tankful.
The second ride, Miss Fritter's Daredevil Spinoff, is designed for younger kids and features a massive animatronic school bus of the character from Cars 3. The ride will be similar to those found in the Cars-themed area at Disney's California Adventure in California.
