Disney's D23 Presentation Reveals Ambitious Slate of New Projects
Walt Disney Animation Studios stole the show at D23 2026 with their ambitious slate of original magical adventures, brand-new IP, and surprising franchise expansions. Led by Chief Creative Officer Jared Bush, the studio unveiled a series of exciting projects, including Zootopia 3, which is currently in early development.
The surprise announcement was made on stage by Bush, along with Ginnifer Goodwin and Ke Huy Quan, who will reprise their roles as Judy Hopps and Gary De' Snake. The trio screened a custom animation sequence that teased the introduction of birds to the franchise in Zootopia 3.
In addition to Zootopia 3, Disney Animation also revealed that production is underway on an original feature titled Clay, starring Academy Award-winner Kieran Culkin as Flip. The film will be directed by Fawn Veerasunthorn and produced by Oscar-winner Peter Del Vecho.
